It can be a challenge as a first time parent learning everything you need to know about CHPBA. That is why we have developed the CHPBA First Time Parent FAQ. Please take a look. It can help answer a lot of the most common questions we get from new parents
Parents - if you would like to add a second parent’s email address to your player's rosters – here is the process:
-
Have the second parent sign-up at http://www.chpba.org for an account using the email they want.
-
Click Add a Player.
-
Enter the name and birthdate
Assuming you enter the correct last name and birthdate you will receive a note telling you your child is already in the system.
The new parent will automatically be associated with all thier player's rosters… they will also have access to the player information dashboard under my account which will give them full game listings, practice times, and more (coming soon).
The board of the CHPBA wishes you to know, that we remain dedicated to helping make childhood baseball dreams a reality for the kids in our league. As always, we are here to serve your needs. If there is anything we can do to improve your baseball experience, please don't hesitate to contact us.
Pony National Baseball has announced new bat regulations effective for the 2012 season. These new bat regulations will also apply to CHPBA's upcoming season going forward:
-
ALL DIVISIONS: If a player uses a small barrel bat - 2-1/4" barrel - it must be stamped with the following 3 pieces of information (1) “approved for play in PONY Baseball” (2) “BPF 1.15” and (3) the year the bat was manufactured.
BRONCO and PONY Divisions: If a player uses a youth caliber bat - a 2-5/8" barrel bat with a lighter weight (usually a -7 through -10 weight, if you can find it) - it does not have to be BBCOR certified. This means that 2-5/8" barrel youth bats that have been purchased over the past few years are all still legal and can be used.
-
PONY Division (and any player in any division using this kind of bat): If a player uses a high school caliber bat - a 2-5/8' barrel bat with a (-3) weight - the bat must be BBCOR certified (with a length to weight difference of 0.50) and bear a stamp on the bat with that certification. This is the high school standard for baseball bats.
